At Bellows Air Force Station Dogs Are Allowed!

Usually, the closest body of water between your pet and you is the toilet basin. Let’s face it, your pets go everywhere with you even to the bathroom. There is nothing like the comforting presence of your furry companion while you are doing the most mundane things. In addition, bringing your pet with you to the beach could make it a nicer experience. Beaches offer a nice, free outlet for all of us. Going there is a great way to get exercise, relax, and unwind.

Bellows Air Force Station (Bellows) is now accepting pets! The pet-friendly beach hours are from sunrise to 10:00 am, and from 5:00 pm to sunset. Please see the following link for more information:  Bellows AFS

As a pet sitter, I find that dog-friendly beaches are a great way to provide fun dog walking opportunities for the canines I care for. The funniest is puppy care at the beach; a puppy walking in the sand for the first time reminds me of the first time my dog felt snow under his paws. A mid-day dog walk at the beach is perfect for pets who want to exert a lot of energy. Sometimes a midday dog walk at the beach time is better than a dog hike. As a veterinarian technician, I see a lot of pets benefitting from going to the beach. See the following for pet-friendly beaches: Hawaiian Humane Society

Hope you are able to find some time to spend in the sand and surf with your fur-friend.  -Tonya
